The Georgia Rotary Student Program (GRSP) is a program unique to the Georgia Rotarians where international students from all over the world are given a scholarship to attend one year at a Georgia college or university.  It is designed to foster peace through understanding and is a great opportunity for cultural exchange among the students and Rotarians around the state.

Hi, my name is Craig Macintosh and I’m a student from New Zealand- an island nation of about 4 million people in the Pacific Ocean. I grew up in a small beachside town called Whakatane and have since been studying Film and Media Studies in New Zealand’s capital city of Wellington. I want to continue this career path and work in television post-production (such as editing and graphics) and potentially filmmaking in the future.

I’ve come to Georgia to challenge myself by living in a new environment, experiencing a new culture and meeting new people.  I will be learning Psychology at Armstrong Atlantic University and I’m also looking forward to studying the rich history surrounding Georgia. I’m excited and looking forward to making the most of my time here, sharing my Kiwi culture and growing, both academically and as a person.
